The Idylis Ultrasonic Tabletop Humidifier was one of the best cool mist humidifiers on the market. Plug it in, fill it with water, turn it on and it worked! That’s about all I can say because after testing the Idylis Humidifier and we had zero problems with it. It was very quiet. Anything that disrupts your sleep is going to take time getting used to so you don’t want a noisy humidifier.
The Idylis Ultrasonic Tabletop Humidifier was designed for small to medium rooms. This size humidifier only holds one gallon of water so you have to add new water every night. You want to make sure to always use distilled or filtered water in humidifiers. Regular tap water could buildup residue in the tank and electronics if the water isn’t filtered and run your humidifier. This is for any humidifier you purchase.
A small humidifier does require filling once or even twice a day (if you are using it during the day but only once if you only use it at night) when the humidity level is super low but any humidifier is going to need to be refilled that much, depending on how dry the air is in the room. When it needs to be refilled it will beep and automatically shut off which is convenient. It will also show a red indicator on the display.
Since the Idylis Ultrasonic Tabletop Humidifier is no longer available let us give you some other “Cool Mist” humidifiers that we like. Brands like Everlasting Comfort, Vicks, Homasy, and Pure Enrichment make a good quality cool mist humidifier that is also affordable.
The front has a built-in handle that makes it easy to pick up and move from room to room. There is no need to remove the tank to fill it. You open the door on the top and unscrew the stopper and pour the water in. You don’t even need to turn it off to fill it. Because the tank is see-through you can keep an eye on the water level or just wait until it beeps to let you know it needs to be refilled.
These type of cool mist room humidifier have several speeds and levels of moisture they put in the air. If your room is large you may want to crank it up to the highest level. A “white” cool mist will come out of the top so you will see it in the air. You may want to put your Humidifier on a stool or table that has been covered with a hand towel and keep it away from furniture as the mist will stick to furniture over time and create a thin film.
Troubleshooting Tip: if you fill the tank with water and it gives you the “add water” message, make sure you have the humidifier on a level surface. You can also wipe off the small metal sensor on the tank bottom and the housing it sits in on the unit itself and it will recognize that the full tank. Once again, this could be caused by using unfiltered water.
