The product combines a technology infused wristband with an iPhone app that tracks and improves several facets related to your overall health. In a general sense, the UP wristband is a three trick pony, tracking activity, sleep, and nutrition. Graphs document your activity levels and sleep patterns. The wristband uses vibrations as an alarm for when you’ve been inactive too long, based on your settings, and pinpointing the best time in your sleep cycle to wake up, again based on your settings. One of the great things about the wristband, and it’s paired application, is that it tracks your diet in ways that other programs don’t. Yes, there are plenty of apps that track calories and overall nutrient intake but this particular application is one of few that takes into account how the food makes you feel. For example, some people feel great after eating yogurt while others feel awful. Now, if you do any research you’ll find valid arguments for and against yogurt in all shapes and sizes but none of that matters if it doesn’t work for you.
